The 2017-18 Officers
Biannual elections are held in January of odd-numbered years, at our monthly meeting.
The National Federation of Republican Assemblies is a grassroots movement to take back the Republican Party for the vast and disenfranchised majority of its members: Reagan conservatives, who believe in small government, lower taxes, free market capitalism, a strong defense, the right to life, and a decent America.
In short, we are the Republican Wing of the Republican Party.
We carry out our mission in two primary ways:
Why do we do these things? Because the Republican Party is, well, a republic: its people have the ultimate say, if they organize and make their voices heard. And because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the current generation of Republican leadership has shipwrecked the Party Reagan built.
The process of endorsing candidates involves;
We issue an invitation for the several Republican candidates to introduce themselves to the membership. this is done after the legal filing date, but well before the party primary.
We follow up with a questionnaire to each of them, to determine their political philosophy of the role of government. You can review our current questionnaire, here.We follow up with a questionnaire to each of them, to determine their political philosophy of the role of government. Finally, we ask all our members to review those submitted questionnaires at a subsequent 'endorsing convention'. The standards for issuing an endorsement are that we require two-thirds (67%) of our voting members to agree in order to issue a formal endorsement. If no candidate attains that threshold, we simply release a 'straw poll', at our discretion.
